I’m Fern. I started this blog to share my journey living with Ankylosing spondylitis, to remind myself what I’m capable of, and to share my passions with anyone who can relate. Along the way, I’ll share the things I love and the small ways I grow a little each day.

I’m Fern, currently living in the UK. I love exploring new things, travelling, and cooking nice food. But I also enjoy the quieter side of life, like snuggling up at home on wet, gloomy days, which happen quite often thanks to the British weather.

I’m new to writing, but I’m excited to share my life here. This blog is my happy space, a place where I document my journey of embracing life with chronic back pain as a gift rather than a burden, and redefining what a “normal life” looks like.

Why I Started This Blog

I never imagined I would start a blog. Writing has never felt like one of my strengths, but I wanted to try something new and see if I could do it anyway.

I began this space to keep track of my journey and to remind myself that I’m capable of more than I sometimes believe. It’s also a way to show myself that I can do things I once thought were out of reach.

Over time, this blog has become something really special; a place where I can share what it’s like living with chronic back pain from Ankylosing spondylitis, and to see it not just as a challenge, but as something that has shaped the way I experience life.

Not because it’s easy,
but because it has changed the way I see life.
